NETWORK ENGINEERING
Qualified network engineers are available to implement network solutions
whether it is a new installation or an integration / upgrade of an
existing one. Troubleshooting and disaster recovery is also provided
for by our team of engineers. Our expertise in Mail, Proxy, File,
Print and Applications servers is available.
Various operating system platforms and configurations are supported.
NETWORK AUDITING
A network audit is essential in assessing the current status of a
network. It allows an accurate solution to be quoted and installed.
The auditing process allows Businessway to gather important information
required to compile a detailed report, which can be used as an independent
view on the network environment and condition. The network audit may
be used to assist in asset register tracking. A full network audit
includes the following
- Detailed Visio network diagram
- Full server specifications
- Workstation specifications
- Network backbone and equipment specifications
- Network protocol configuration
- Server performance & network load testing
- Network security
- Antivirus testing
- Backup & disaster recovery
- Software configuration and Licensing
Upon completion of the above documentation we can make necessary
recommendations and highlight any issues that are discovered that
the client may not be aware of. The audit process is the most important
part in ensuring success in a final solution and provides the client
with a comprehensive blueprint for their records.
NETWORK RELOCATIONS
Moving premises? Businessway can relocate your IT equipment to your
new premises and setup all hardware and peripherals. Complete testing
of hardware and software functionality is conducted upon completion
of the relocation. This ensures that everything is ready for all
users at the recommencement of business. A site inspection and labelling
of equipment is made at the original premises prior to the move.
If you prefer to have the equipment moved yourself then we can assist
in the re-setup of all hardware after the relocation.
I.T SUPPORT
Phone support is provided for with a single point of contact so that
an ongoing relationship and history of the site is maintained. Remote
management and support is also available via dial up or Internet
utilities.
On-Site support by a network engineer at competitive market rates
is available on the following arrangements
- AD-HOC on an hourly basis
- Prepaid hour labour packs
- Fixed price job costings
The above arrangements may be beneficial in different scenarios
but the pre paid labour packs offer a considerable discount on the
standard hourly rate.
MAINTENANCE AGREEMENTS
Maintenance is an important part of keeping a network in good shape
and allows us to be pro active (able to pre-empt any possible problems)
which may cause a major interruption to operation in the near future.
Ongoing regular maintenance should be regarded as an investment
in your I.T equipment as it often extends the lifespan of your existing
hardware and software. Performance tweaking and fine tuning of a
network is also conducted during maintenance visits. A maintenance
contract can be made up to suit the size of your organisation with
a frequency to suit your needs. A maintenance contracted client
receives the following benefits.
- Priority service
- Discounted rate
- Free Phone support (limited by conditions of contract)
- 24 hour emergency contact phone no
- Remote management
- Ongoing recommendations & reports
- A job log kept onsite to track work conducted.
- Full site documentation (maintained and updated as changes occur)
- Backup logs are received via email daily and examined by an
engineer
- A comprehensive maintenance checklist is conducted on every
visit.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Businessway can offer full project management on any proposed I.T
rollout or solution to be instigated. This includes all critical
timing issues and allocation of resources to the relevant aspects
of the job. All Businessway provided solutions are fully managed
from start to finish regardless of the size or nature of the project.
Detailed Gantt charts are provided prior to the commencement of
proposed works.
SOFTWARE LICENSING
Businessway can assist your organisation in complying with software
licence regulations by conduct a complete software audit of your
organisation and compiling a report of versions numbers in use and
the number of licences held. This will allow you to determine what
if any software purchases are required to comply with software usage
policies and law.
BROADBAND
ADSL
The latest in broadband technology ADSL is available from Request
DSL backed with SLA (service level agreements) of 99% up time. Converting
to ADSL has the benefits of higher bandwidth on internet connections,
No need for separate phone lines, Cheaper cost as compared with
ISDN and leased lines. Point to Point secure networking across an
ADSL connection called VPN (virtual private network) is possible
with increased cost benefits and more flexibility than previous
technologies. Large emails with attachments benefit from the higher
bandwidth and are transmitted and received much faster than standard
56K modems.
A single high bandwidth ADSL web connection can be shared amongst
many users using router and firewall devices mentioned earlier in
the products section.
